Pam and Michael Hill came to Oak Grove because of its green reputation. Says Pam, “We were looking for a dog-friendly place and then we saw you had an electric vehicle charger. And solar panels too? Well, hello!”
The Hills live in Chesterfield County, near Richmond, where Pam is involved in green activities and even lobbied legislators to prohibit sales of invasive plants at nurseries. She is so driven that she volunteered to clear some of the invasive ivy at Oak Grove!
While in South Boston, the Hills visited the Cage Sculpture Farm, the visitors’ center, The Crossing of the Dan site, an antique store and Berry Hill Resort. They dined at Molasses Grill and The Ranch.
Because they were driving an electric vehicle, a Nissan Leaf, they were given a third night free at Oak Grove.
